Food is the most powerful medicine that can heal as well as nourish.

– Zarana

Hi – I am Zarana. My friends and family call me “Z”. I am the founder and owner of NutrilciousbyZ – a nutrition private practice in Dallas, TX.

I got interested in nutrition at a very young age. Growing up in India; I had witnessed food being used as medicine in my home all the time. This interest in power of food and nutrition grew as I learned about the science of nutrition. In 1996, I was blessed to get an opportunity to work in a special research project on use of Ketogenic diet in treatment of intractable Epilepsy. Seeing the improvement in kids with this diet therapy played the most profound role behind my passion for Food as Medicine. When I moved to the USA in 2004, I graduated with a BS in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Texas at South-western Medical Center to continue to advance my learning and clinical knowledge. I am a certified Leap Therapist (Food sensitivity) and Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP) with Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy.

My wide-ranging experience of working with people from different age groups and cultural backgrounds over last 25 years; helps me evaluate your nutrition needs and develop a roadmap of nutrition and lifestyle changes to help you achieve your optimal health. I am very passionate about helping people eat better and live a healthy lifestyle to increase their vitality and prevent onset of diseases. I translate comprehensive science of nutrition into simple and practical recommendations for my clients to create lasting results. My practice specializes in Gut health, Autoimmune diseases and Metabolic health conditions.

At home, I am blessed with a loving husband and 2 beautiful children – my pillars of love and strength. We love to explore different cuisines and cook Nutrilicious meals at home.

My approach

When it comes to nutrition; there is no one plan fits all. There are many diet plans out there to support temporary goals, but what is missing in most diet approach is connecting our food to our mind and soul that creates a sustainable lifestyle.

At NutriliciousbyZ, we will help you find the root cause of your health problems and develop a roadmap to your health and healing through the power of nutrition and lifestyle.

We begin by evaluating 4 pillars of health – Nutrition, Activity, Sleep and Stress Management to reconnect body and mind to optimize healing.

My Core Nutrition beliefs

Nutritious food can be delicious.

Let food be your friend again.

Eating healthy should not be complicated.

my qualifications
